Kasam Öppenvård is looking for a Skills Trainer in Kalmar County

Kasam Öppenvård is expanding its treatment team and is now seeking a skills trainer with the competence to work with children and adolescents in need of structured support, behavioral training, and daily living skills.

We work based on evidence-based methods with a focus on safety, clarity, and development.

Responsibilities

As a skills trainer, you will be responsible for:

Conducting individual and practical skills training sessions with children/adolescents

Supporting children/adolescents in daily structure, routines, and independence

Working with manual-based elements from e.g. DBT skills, TMO, TBA, or AAC

Conducting assessments, follow-ups, and documentation

Collaborating closely with parents, foster homes, schools, and social services

Supporting youth in developing impulse control, emotional regulation, and social skills

Qualifications (requirements)

Post-secondary education in social work, pedagogy, psychology, or similar

Further training in DBT skills, AAC, NPF, low-arousal approach, TMO, or equivalent

Experience working with children/adolescents with NPF, trauma, or psychosocial issues

Ability to work in a structured, relationship-building, and methodical manner

Experience with documentation

Driver's license B

Meritorious

Experience from foster care, HVB, outpatient care, LSS, or BUP

Knowledge in behavioral training, motivational work, and low-arousal approach

About the position

Hourly employment or part-time (20-40%)

Flexible working hours, both day and afternoon/evening as needed
